# WorkerDock: Cloudflare Workers manager for Mac

> Free native Mac app (macOS 14+) that finds every local Cloudflare Workers, Pages, Astro and EmDash project on your machine, starts and stops them, streams their logs and shows what each one is bound to (D1, KV, R2 and more). It runs locally and does not upload your code or data.

- Version: 0.1.2
- Download: https://workerdock.app/download/WorkerDock-0.1.2.dmg
- Website: https://workerdock.app/
- Made by: Harish Chouhan at Webtions OÜ (https://webtions.com)

## What it does

- Finds projects: scans the folders you add (including nested folders and monorepos) for Wrangler, Cloudflare Pages, Astro and EmDash projects, and shows servers you started from a terminal as running.
- Starts, stops and restarts each project with the right command, a free port and the right folder. Stopping a project also stops its workerd process, so nothing is left holding a port.
- Bindings diagram: shows what each project is wired to (D1, KV, R2, Queues, Durable Objects, Workflows, Service bindings, Workers AI, Vectorize, Hyperdrive). Variable names are shown, never their values.
- Live logs per project with errors in colour, a text filter, auto-follow and a capped buffer.
- Local Explorer built in: browse local D1, KV, R2, Durable Objects and Workflows data with Cloudflare's Local Explorer.
- Menu bar: start, stop and open any project without opening the main window.
- Framework aware: detects Astro, Pages and Vite projects and runs the right command. EmDash sites get a one-click link to the admin login.
- Updates itself with Sparkle (signed updates); automatic checks can be turned off in Settings.

## Who it is for

Developers who run several Cloudflare Workers, Pages or Astro/EmDash projects on a Mac and want one window instead of one terminal tab per project.

## FAQ

### What is WorkerDock?
A native Mac app that finds the Cloudflare Workers, Pages and Astro projects on your machine and lets you start, stop and inspect them from one window, instead of juggling terminal tabs.

### Is it free?
Yes. WorkerDock is free to download. Optional ways to support its development may be added later.

### Does it replace Wrangler?
No. WorkerDock runs the Wrangler and dev commands already in your project and adds discovery, supervision, logs and an overview on top. Your configuration stays as it is.

### Does it send my code or data anywhere?
No. The app runs entirely on your Mac, reads your project folders without modifying them, and never shows secret values from vars or .dev.vars files. Its only network request is an update check to workerdock.app/appcast.xml, which can be turned off in Settings.

### Which Macs and Wrangler versions are supported?
macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later. Cloudflare's Local Explorer, which WorkerDock embeds, needs Wrangler 4.82.1 or newer, or the Cloudflare Vite plugin 1.32.0 or newer. For older versions WorkerDock shows the exact update command for your package manager.

### Will there be a Windows or Linux version?
No. WorkerDock is Mac-first and built natively for it. Other platforms are not planned yet.

### Does it work with monorepos?
Yes. It searches nested folders, so a Worker in apps/api is found, and installs and dev scripts run in the right folder.

### Is WorkerDock affiliated with Cloudflare?
No. It is an independent product by Webtions OÜ and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Cloudflare, Inc.

## Roadmap (ideas, not promises or dates)

Planned:
- Local D1 migrations: list and apply local migrations without leaving the app.

Exploring:
- Friendly local domains: open project.test instead of remembering port numbers.
- Request inspector: see requests flowing through each Worker as they happen.
- Multi-Worker sessions: run several Workers together so service bindings just work.
- Deploy from the app: ship to Cloudflare with a click, with deploy history alongside.
- Local EmDash installer: create a new EmDash site from a template and open it in WorkerDock.
- .dev.vars editor: edit local variables safely, with values masked by default.
