Cookie policy
This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies are used when you visit workerdock.app or use the WorkerDock Mac app. It supplements our Privacy policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage and tracking pixels or beacons, which load an image or send a small request without storing anything on your device.
2. In short
- workerdock.app sets no cookies and uses no local or session storage.
- We use no advertising, retargeting, social media or Google Analytics cookies or trackers.
- Our website analytics sends a small beacon request and stores nothing on your device.
- Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set strictly necessary security cookies (section 4).
- We show no cookie banner, because we use no cookies that need your consent.
3. Cookies set by us
None. The email updates form, the download buttons and the free tools on this site do not set cookies. The tools run in your browser and do not send what you type to us.
4. Cookies that Cloudflare may set
This site is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare. Cloudflare sets cookies on visitors only when certain of its security features apply to a site, and describes them as strictly necessary for those features. These may appear on this site:
| Name | Purpose | Party | Duration | Consent needed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
__cf_bm | Bot protection: helps tell humans from bots when Cloudflare's bot features are active | Cloudflare (set on our domain) | 30 minutes | No, strictly necessary |
cf_clearance | Remembers that you passed a Cloudflare security challenge | Cloudflare (set on our domain) | Up to about a year, depending on settings | No, strictly necessary |
_cfuvid | Lets Cloudflare's rate limiting tell apart visitors who share an IP address | Cloudflare (set on our domain) | Session | No, strictly necessary |
You may see none of these. Which ones appear depends on how Cloudflare's security settings are applied to the request. See Cloudflare's list of cookies for details. Cloudflare also records technical logs about requests (for example IP address and user agent) for security and operations, described in our Privacy policy.
5. Analytics (no cookie)
We use Webtions Analytics, our own service, to count visits. It loads a small script from dash.webtions.com and sends the page path, referrer, screen and window size and browser language to our server. It sets no cookie and stores nothing in your browser. It does not use your IP address to identify you: the address is used in memory to derive a rough location and a daily-changing one-way visitor hash, and is not stored. Full details are in section 5 of the Privacy policy. The script does not run when you browse from a local address.
6. Third-party scripts and services
| Provider | Where used | Purpose | Learn more |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. | All pages, downloads, the app's update check | Hosting, content delivery, security, file and database storage | Cloudflare privacy policy |
Webtions Analytics (dash.webtions.com) | All pages, except when browsing locally | Cookie-free site statistics | Privacy policy |
Fonts, icons and images on this site are served from workerdock.app itself. We do not load fonts or scripts from other third-party services.
7. The Mac app
The WorkerDock Mac app does not use cookies or send analytics. It checks for updates by requesting a feed from workerdock.app, which Cloudflare handles as described above and in the Privacy policy. Its Explorer tab displays a page served from your own computer (localhost), which may use its own storage on your Mac.
8. How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. See the guides for Safari, Chrome and Firefox. Blocking Cloudflare's security cookies may cause a security check to repeat or, rarely, stop a page from loading. Our own analytics needs no cookie, so there is nothing to block there. If you use a content blocker, it may stop the analytics script from loading.
9. International transfers
Cloudflare may process request data in several countries. See the Privacy policy for the safeguards we rely on.
10. Changes
We will update this page if we add cookies, trackers or new providers, and change the date above. If we ever add anything that needs consent, we will ask for it before it runs.
